A Day of Firsts

Anna had an eventful day today. Today was her first day of daycare. She did great! Me? Not so much. I was doing good until I had to leave her - that's when the water works came. But I got to go see her at lunch and spend time with her. Here she is on her first day of school.

Another first was Anna had THREE major blowouts today. She's never had any major messes until today - her first day of school. They had to change her clothes three times! I'm sure Ms. Lou and Ms. Jean at the daycare were thrilled to have to clean that up. Way to make a good first impression Anna. :)
And finally, the best "first" of the day... Anna laughed outloud! Kevin and I were changing her from her third blowout of the day and while she was laying there giving us her huge grin like she always does, she started laughing outloud. Kevin and I both said "was that a laugh?" Then she did it again! It was so cute. Kevin ran to get the video camera of course to try to capture the moment on tape. Unfortunately Anna's a little camera shy and we couldn't get her to laugh again. There's nothing like hearing your daughter laugh for the first time. This is one of those memories I will never forget. I'm so glad Kevin and I were together to hear it.

Two Month Stats

Anna went to the doctor yesterday for her two month check up. She weighs 10 pounds 5 ounces. And the doctor said she's a shorty with a height of only 21 1/4 inches. The doctor said she looked great. She got four shots too which she handled much better than I did.

Breaking News

ANNA SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!

For the past week or so, Anna's sleep schedule has been getting longer and longer and finally on Sunday night, she slept all night long. I put her down at 9:30 and she didn't get up until 5:30 the next morning. The funny thing is Monday was my first day back to work. She let me get a full nights sleep for my first day back. Isn't she sweet! Let's hope this continues.

Back To Work :(

After 8 wonderful weeks with Anna, I had to go back to work yesterday. Of course I was your typical mom on her first day back - I cried all the way to work and pretty much cried all day. Kevin made it a little better. He sent me a gorgeous bouquet of star gazer lillies (my favorite) and the card said it was from Kevin AND Anna - too cute! Even though I hate being away from her all day, it makes me really cherish the time I have with her when I get home. As soon as I walk in the door she gives me a big smile. That makes every day worth it. Fortunately this week Kevin's mom is watching her but come Monday she's going to daycare. Please pray for me... that will be a rough day too!

Granny Young Meets Anna

My Granny from Fort Smith came into town to meet little Anna Claire for the first time. I really enjoyed seeing her because it's been a long time since I've seen her. And Anna enjoyed it too. Look how comfortable she looks. Here we are - Four Generations!!!
