Anna's 2nd Birthday Party

We celebrated Anna's 2nd birthday with a Dora the Explorer party at The Wonder Place on Sunday. Anna LOVES this place. She had so much fun running around and playing in all the different play areas. It was definitely a good place to take a two year old who's attention span is very short. A lot of our family and friends came to help us celebrate the occasion and we all had a good time.
Here's her cake. It was a Dora cake of course. I thought it turned out so incredibly cute. Thank you Mickey's! It was so good!
Anna liked her cake and wanted to play with the Dora figurines.
When we started singing Happy Birthday to her, she flashed this shy little smile to everyone. It was so cute. She needed a little help blowing out the candles but we got it done. Here's a few of the kids eating their cake. Yum Yum!This is Reed (Anna's future boyfriend). He was a big fan of the cake. :)Avery and JacieDORA!Boots!Anna with her Papa playing in the sand.
Lindsey put together a big birthday cake for Anna.
Avery playing dress-up.
Jacie played dress-up too.
Of course all the boys at the party played with the car track. It's manly!
Little Miss Caitlyn
This is Mia, she's in Anna's class at school.
And this is Gracie, another little girl in her class.
And then there's Tyler, the stud of the class.
Anna's birthday was a success and she didn't want to leave. In fact, she pitched a royal fit when we tried to drag her out of the place. But we bribed her with the presents. Since all the kids were having so much fun playing, we decided not to open presents at The Wonder Place, and instead opened them when we got home.

As you can see, she got a ton of gifts! Look close, she's behind all those presents somewhere.
She loves her new Dora suitcase.
She loved this stroller/child seat/diaper bag set my sister got her. She insisted on carrying everything and walking around the house. She was being such a good mommy to her babies.
Thank you everyone who came to help us celebrate. Even those who couldn't be there, we know you were there in spirit. Thank you for the presents and of course, thank you for loving Anna. You all made her 2nd birthday very special.

Four Christmases

We were very busy over the Christmas holiday. We got to celebrate Christmas 4 times!

First, we had Christmas with my sisters and their families. Everyone came over to our house for dinner and presents! The kids had a lot of fun with all of their new toys.
The Brother-In-Laws (Kevin, Sean and Jason)
Stacie's Family - Stacie, Christian, Sean and Avery
Tracie's Family - Tracie, Jacie and JasonThe Yarbrough Clan - we can never get her to look at the camera!!!
The Fabulous Downey Sisters!
Our next Christmas adventure was to Searcy on Christmas Eve, and when I say adventure... I mean it!!! Central Arkansas got about 6 or 7 inches of rain in a matter of a few hours so it caused some major flooding. On our way to Searcy, the highway was covered in water that we had to drive through. We were all VERY nervous. Luckily, we all made it to Searcy safely and were able to enjoy a nice lunch at Kevin's parents and then a dinner at his grandmothers house.

Here's Anna with one of her Uncle Greg's :)
Anna got this little car from her MeMe and Granddad and she loves it! She gets in and out, in and out, over and over and over again. And she can only go backwards. She hasn't figured out how to go forward yet.
Our third Christmas was to my Dads house on Christmas Day.
And finally, our last Christmas stop was to Fort Smith to see Grammy and Poppy. We had a great time and I really enjoyed it because I was able to see all of my family (aunts, uncles, cousins) that I haven't seen in a very long time. And I was excited that Anna could meet them.
It had just snowed in Ft. Smith so Anna got to play in the snow a little. Technically, this was her first snow that we actually let her out in. The few times it's snowed in Arkansas, she was so young that I was too afraid to take her out in the cold.
Here we are with my father, better known as Poppy, and my sister Rachel.
All in all, Christmas was great. We were surrounded by the people we love and care about the most, Anna got spoiled and we didn't have to do as much driving this year. So, in the end we had a successful Christmas. To all of our families, thank you for such a wonderful Christmas and thank you for all the love and support you give to not only me and Kevin, but to our little Banannas. We love you all so much!

A Christmas Sneak Peek

Kevin and I decided to let Anna open one Christmas gift a few days before Christmas, just so she could get a feel for what was in store for her over the next few days. I gotta admit, this kid is a pro. She knows how to open presents!
Anna definitely got Kevin's clean freak gene. After she opened the present, she took all the trash to the trash can.

Cookies for Santa

Anna and I made cookies for Santa. She had a lot of fun decorating them.
These are the special cookies we chose for Santa. He must of liked them because he ate them. :)

Birthday Parties Galore!

Anna has had quite a few birthday parties to go to in the past few weeks. First, we went to Tyler's birthday party at The Little Gym. Tyler is in her class at school and he's such a cutie. He's the one at the head of the table.
The Little Gym was fun. It was almost like a gymnastics place, with a large floor mat for the kids to run around on and different things the kids could climb on. We've never been and Anna really enjoyed it.
This seems to be the look I always gt in pictures these days. :)
Another party we went to was for J'la Brion, another kid from Anna's school. This one was at the Little Rock Athletic Club. There was a huge maze the kids could climb and play in and there was also a big bounce house which Anna really enjoyed.

Here's Anna with the birthday girl.
Kevin was a good sport. He kicked off his shoes and got in the maze with her. By the time we left, he was worn out...
...and so was Anna.

WOW!

What a mess!
